The car will lose power all of a sudden and not rev past 2,900rpm. It also stutters between 1,300rpm - 2,000rpm. The lose of power is solved by tuning the car on and off again. However the stutter is always there. Its because the turbo can get very very hot if the car is used for longer runs at quite high speed, if the turbo is not allowed to cool down before the engine is stopped the oil in its bearings will burn and become deposited carbon that ruins the bearings if done on a regular basis.

The fleet of Hyundai's we have (all 1.6 crdi's) get absolutely hammered (999 response vehicles ) & I can't think of any problems we have with the actual engine! The rest of the car is abit cheap & meh but the engine is solid. #1 · Jan 24, 2016 Hello everybody! I own a cee'd (2008) with 1.6 CRDI 85kW motor. In 2012 with 59000miles it was replaced the first turbo under warranty. Now turbo is whistlying again The car has 142915 miles. Is it possible, that turbo from 94kW motor fits on mine ? This Garett turbos are obviously very poor or what?

I currently drive a new model ceed 1.6 crdi 126/8 which i enjoy , the only downside is it is the eco model and has high gearing which makes it feel a bit lethargic. i am so glad the ceed gt has a turbo pushing 200 bhp - BUT WHAT KIA NEED IS A TURBO FITTED TO THE 1.4 SHOVING OUT 140/150 BHP. A RIO GT PERHAPS
